Our students recently went on a fantastic adventure to Ecokids Farm! This unique indoor farm provided the perfect environment for our children to explore, learn, and play, no matter the weather.
It was a day filled with imagination as our students stepped into the roles of real farmers, discovering the hard work and joy that goes into running a farm.
The highlight of the trip was watching the children immerse themselves in farm life through interactive role-play. They took their responsibilities very seriously!
Milking Cows: The children played the role of dairy farmers, learning about the process of milking cows with great enthusiasm.
Harvesting Crops: At the vegetable farm, our little workers stayed busy harvesting a bountiful crop of fresh greens.
Transporting Food: With big smiles, the students worked together to transport food across the farm, learning the importance of teamwork and coordination.
Ecokids Farm is home to a wonderful variety of animals, and our students loved getting an up-close look at them. It was a joy to see their curiosity come alive as they observed:
Squirrels & Quail
Rabbits & Guinea Pigs
Alpacas & Piglets
The children were especially excited to learn about these animals' habits and even had the chance to feed fresh vegetables to the adorable piglets!
At MFS Kindergarten, we know that hands-on experiences are the best teachers. By playing these roles and interacting with animals in a safe, indoor setting, our students:
Developed empathy and care for living things.
Strengthened their fine and gross motor skills.
Built confidence through imaginative role-play.
Satisfied their natural curiosity about the world around them.
We are so proud of our hardworking "farmers" and the wonderful way they engaged with every activity. It was truly a day to remember!
